Food Festival at Heathrow Airport

Passengers travelling through Heathrow Airport between August 26th and September 12th are in for a culinary treat, when the airport celebrates British Food Fortnight!

BAA owners of Heathrow unhappy with Kelkoo findings

Kelkoo recently undertook a study of main European airports such as Lyon, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Barcelona and Heathrow. This study was conducted by the Centre for Retail Research using mystery shoppers who were instructed to buy 22 identical items and the tax savings were then compared.

Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park is expecting large crowds of spectators

on 1st September, to witness the arrival of the world’s biggest airliner when it touches down for the first time.The impressive double decker  A380 Airbus, which seats  517 passengers has been nickmaned the “Super-Jumbo”, is due to land at Manchester Airport at 12.25pm, commencing a daily scheduled service in what will be a world first for a regional airport.

UK travel industry under siege from Unite Union

Once again the high profile union Unite and coincidently the largest financial backer of the labour party is threatening strike action that will close all BAA airports that include Stansted, Heathrow, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Air Stewrad Snaps At JFK Airport

An air steward aboard a Jetblue flight that had just landed at JFK International airport decided enough was enough and stormed off the plane via the emergency exit and slid down the inflatable shoot and drove home.

Celebrity snapper Dennis Stone given "freedom" of Heathrow airport

From the likes of  George Best to the Dalai Lama, Lady Di to Lady Gaga... Dennis Stone has snapped them all!! Speaking about George Best he said that all he had to do was get him drunk to get his stories, but he never did, counting George amongst his true friends.

Mexicana withdraws its Gatwick service

Mexico’s national airline which was only launched in October 2008 has suspended all flights out of London Gatwick after failing to come to an agreement with unions to reduce staff costs.

Tesco to open at Glasgow Airport.    

Glasgow  International has been chosen as the first Airport to host a Tesco store site, showing an interest in opening outlets at transport sites.
