Bmibaby issue advice on Ash Disruption
Due to the ongoing ash eruptions many flights have been cancelled today, including some of those from Cardiff, Birmingham and East Midlands, all of which are listed on the Bmibaby website. A spokesman for the Airline stated that safety is their number one priority and that their decision to cancel some flights was based on advice fome Nats and the Met Office.
Customers whose flights have been cancelled will be able to book the next available flight free of charge providing they do it within 21 days of their original flight date. Passengers will receive a refund for the unused leg of the flight.
In addition, Bmibaby will reimburse reasonable costs of meals and drinks, two telephone calls or fax/email and accommodation , incurred before the next available flight. The web site is updated several times a day and passengers are advised to keep checking for further information on delays and cancellations.
The next update will be 5pm this evening. The reservation centre is open beween 8am and 9pm.
Refunds may take up to 4 weeks, as hundreds of claims have been received, and individuals will not receive letters are are instead advised to check with their Bank on a regular basis after the time frame has elapsed
