New Mobile Phone Service for BA Passengers.

 

Passengers using British Airways new business class-only service between London City Airport and New York will have the first mobile phone access on a transatlantic flight.

Motorway delays at East Midlands Airport

Virgin offers visas online

 

The airline has joined forces with visa and passport services provider CIBT. This means that travellers can  secure travel visas to most countries, including China, India, Australia and Africa, through the Virgin's  contact centre and Virginatlantic.com. The agreement covers visas, passports and other documents required for travel. American Airlines today announced it is adding a new service for passengers travelling between Manchester Airport and New York. The new non-stop daily summer seasonal service is scheduled until September 2010. Easyjet still taking bookings For East Midlands.

 

Wrangles over possible staff redundancies have resulted in easyJet being forced to carry on selling tickets on flights from East Midlands that are due to be axed.

Ryanair announce more baggage increases

The cost of checking in a bag on Ryanair flights is being hiked from October 1. Checking in a bag at the airport will cost £30, up from £20. Doing so online in advance will cost £15, up from £10.

Easyjet to close its East Midlands base

 

Easyjet the world renowned budget airline has announced it is to close its East Midlands base and limit services at Luton airport by 20%. The low-fare flight provider also announced it would be consulting on a reduction of the number of flight crew at Belfast, Bristol, Newcastle and Stansted airports.
