Birmingham Airport to unveil £45m ‘International Pier’ passenger terminal
A new £45 million passenger terminal at Birmingham International Airport which can hold double the number of passengers will be unveiled next month. The International Pier will replace the old structure in what is the single biggest investment the airport has made in 20 years. The extension of Terminal One means more space for aircraft and new gate lounges for passengers as the airport prepares for longer-term projects such as a new runway.

New Plans for Terminal 2 at Heathrow
Star Alliance airlines will be based under a single terminal at Heathrow under plans unveiled today.The plans show that the work will take place in two phases in an effort to keep passenger disruption to a minimum. The £1 billion new Terminal 2 will become the home for members of the alliance.

New Wi-Fi connection at Flybe lounges.
Low cost carrier Flybe has announced that customers can now access wireless internet in six of its twelve Airport lounges. BT Openzone has teamed up with the regional airline to provide the service at Belfast City Airport, Birmingham Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Exeter Airport, Gatwick Airport, and Glasgow Airport.

Ryan Air Cut Flights At Stansted Airport
Ryanair is cutting the number of planes flying out of Stansted Airport by 40% this winter. The number of aircraft based at the BAA airport will be reduced from October to 24 from 40 being flown this summer. This will result in a 30% reduction in the number of weekly flights and a loss of 2.5 million passengers between October and March 2010
