| News Archive | Fresh Ash Cloud Concerns
Airports in part of Ireland and Scotland were closed this morning as a fresh ash cloud from the same Icelandic volcano that caused six days of misery for the Uk and European travellers and cost the travel industry in excess of £2billion blew into Northern parts of Great Britain.
Belfast, Derry and Dublin have been shut all day along with Glasgow airport, Edinurgh airport had remained open as passengers were being transferred from Glasgow via bus to Edinburgh as the airports tried desperately to limit the damage caused by the ash cloud. Though Edinburgh has now also closed along with the other airports.
Travellers are still stranded around the world due to last ash cloud which resulted in a six day airspace ban in the UK. No fly zones will be in affect until 7pm tonight when the ban will hopefully be lifted.
Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle airports will be watching closely as they desperately try to remain open, the wind is due to change tomorrow taking the ash cloud away from the UK.
Flypark customers are advised to contact their airlines before they travel and should also check Flypark's cancellation policy
