Bristol Airport has revealed final details of its £100m expansion plans. The proposals include an increase in the size of the terminal, more airport parking spaces and building a new port hotel, to cope with up to nine million passengers a year. The final plan was drawn up following consultation with local people over the publication last year of a draft plan for the next decade and the period to 2030. It included plans to increase capacity at the airport from six to nine million passengers in 10 years. The plan says the increase in passengers can be achieved without building another runway or extending the existing one, The Terminal building will be extended at each end to create more check-in desks, while the airport parking area will be expanded. However, the car park roof will be covered in vegetation, so that the new building merges into the background. New flights From Bristol Airport between Bristol and Paris was launched by low-cost airline easyJet yesterday.
