Food Festival at Heathrow Airport.
Passengers travelling through Heathrow Airport between August 26th and September 12th are in for a culinary treat, when the airport celebrates British Food Fortnight!
The London themed Dining Street Restaurant based in Terminal 4 will tempt customers with a selection of savoury dishes including Char-grilled tandoori chicken (and a free bottle of Kingfisher beer), and a choice of desserts such as Eton Mess, jam Roly Poly and Kentish puding - all good old English staples.
Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar (Terminal 1, 3, 4 and 5) and Rhubarb Food Bar (Terminal 3) will also be serving passengers " Afternoon Tea " complete with hand-cut sandwiches, warm scones and traditional leaf tea.
For those wanting to sample fine beers,The Harlequin (Terminal 1) will be serving Theakston’s Old Peculier, Young’s Waggle Dance and Bishop’s Finger.
Malcolm Robertson speaking on behalf of Heathrow said: that the Airport were happy to be showcasing the best of British food and drink on their menus during the fortnight and that it was an excellent opportunity to promote the British food culture to foreign passengers.
Passengers with Heathrow’s WorldPoints loyalty cards can also earn double points across all restaurants, bars and cafés across the airport during the fortnight. |
