Chauffeur Service for Business travellers
Business travellers flying with BMI from one of its regional bases can now take advantage of the carrier's free Chauffeur Drive service to and from the airport. The perk, originally restricted to London Heathrow Airport will now be offered to premium customers at Belfast Dublin, Glasgow Edinburgh, Manchester and Aberdeen Airports. Business passengers who take advantage of the complimentary pick-up and drop-off facility will be driven in style in a Silver E-Class Mercedes Benz or an equivalent standard of vehicle. In addition on selected routes they will also receive a comparable chauffeur service at their destination. Eligible connections include Almaty, Amman, Azerbaijan, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus, Kyrgyzstan, Moscow, Saudi Arabia, Tel Aviv and Yerevan. Bmi Managing Director Peter Spencer commented: "We are always looking for ways we can improve our offering. These initiatives help us to deliver a seamless travel solution and reinforce our commitment to providing the best possible service for business travel." Passengers who use the service at Heathrow Terminal 1 will now be met by a BMI member of staff who will collect their bags and transfer them to the airline's premium check-in zone, which has recently been re furbished and now has specially designated parking bays. BA recently launched a trial of its own complimentary taxi service , while Emirates has extended its chauffeur option at Newcastle Airport to include Edinburgh-based passengers .
