Passengers dodging car parking fees at Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is installing spy cameras in its car parks after a surge in drivers that are avoiding paying parking fees.The cameras, which check number plates, are being introduced after an increase in people cheating the system.

British tour operator Goldtrail has gone bust leaving some 16,000 Brits stranded abroad, the news was announced by the Civil Aviation Authority last Friday.

Chief Executive of British Airways, Willie Walsh was heckled this week at BA's annual general meeting by cabin crew.

Members of the  trade union Unite interrupted Walsh's response to a shareholder question with cries of "give us numbers" and "empty aircraft" as the BA boss said the airline had flown a successful strike schedule during cabin crew walkouts in earlier this year.

Boeings new 787 dreamliner to enter service at manchester and Gatwick airports

Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner completed its maiden flight for the first time back in December 2009, and after delays in the Boeing 787 introduction programme the aircraft will enter service later this year.

Building work has begun at Dublin airport to create a new €14 million short-term car park to accommodate the new terminal 2 building which should be operational by November.

New Duty Free Shop opens at Edinburgh

Travel retailer World Duty Free (WDF) has opened a new store at Edinburgh airport following the completion of airport operator BAA’s new security area and departures lounge refurbishment, part of a £40m redevelopment project at the airport. The new outlet replaces the previous shop and has an increased floor space of 2,200 sq ft.
