Ryanair- has announced that the low-cost carrier plans to ban check-in luggage, eliminate airport check-in and offer in-air online gambling services.

Cardiff Airport may lose customers if Bristol International Airport expands, according to a travel expert.

Martin Evans, from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, told Wales Online that the Welsh Assembly should do more to get passengers using the Welsh travel hub

Lufthansa moves on BMI


Lufthansa has paid £48 million through a UK holding company to take a majority stake in Bmi.

The move to acquire the 50% plus one share held by Bmi founder Sir Michael Bishop follows an out-of-court settlement in a dispute between the two over the shareholding.

Leeds Bradford International Airport’s (LBIA) Commercial Director, Tony Hallwood, will be attending the ‘Routes Europe 2009’ conference in Prague this week to promote the region and secure more European routes from LBIA.
