Leeds Bradford Airport stand at Major Show.

The Great Yorkshire Show, one of the country’s leading countryside events, takes place in the spa town of Harrogate this summer – and now is your chance to win tickets to be part of it. Leeds Bradford International Airport  has joined forces with event organisers to offer two readers the chance to win family tickets worth £47 each.

This year the Airport will be hosting a site at stand 148. There'll be a variety of activities at the stand including holiday offers, childrens giveaways and a free flights prize draw. The annual celebration of farming and rural life runs from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 July at the 250-acre Great Yorkshire Showground and the programme includes all the normal favourites plus some new attractions

The hub of the show is the main ring which provides a fantastic setting for international show jumping and the world-class cattle parade.

Other highlights of the annual show includes a superb display of the region’s food and drink in the purpose-built Food Hall, cookery demonstrations, a Flower Show, Art Show and specialist Cheese and Dairy Show.
Cutting-edge fashion will be on display – and for the first time ever there will be a men’s Fashion Show, featuring the finalists of the Model Young Farmer competition.

Music is a popular feature of the Great Yorkshire Show and this year The Yorkshire Volunteers Military Band and the North Stars Steel Band will be entertaining the crowds throughout the three-day event.
Alternatively, the Great Yorkshire Show is a fantastic opportunity to browse the hundreds of stands selling everything from tractors to garden sheds and Jacuzzi baths to wellington boots, meeting friends and just watching country life go by.
