Phase Two at Leeds Bradford Airport Completed
Leeds Bradford International Airport have announced the completion of a multi million pound redevelopment scheme to improve car parking facilities and the terminal frontage.
The first phase of the project included access improvements for airport shuttle transfers and an increased bus service to Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate alongside a new drop off and pick up zone for car passengers. Phase Two of the £2 million scheme saw a streamlined rapid pick up and drop off zone, redevelopment of the short stay car park and improved pedestrian walkways.
These substantial improvements form the initial stages of the airports' plans to invest £28m to provide business and leisure passengers with state of the art facilities and enhance their experience whilst travelling.
Tony Hallwood, Commercial and Aviation Development Director at LBIA said: “We are delighted that development has been completed ahead of the busy summer season. Our aim is to offer customers modern facilities which allow them quick and easy access to and from the terminal. We are determined to continue to improve the quality of services we provide to our passengers and our on-going investment will deliver a significant enhancement to terminal facilities.”
