Christmas festival to be launched in Dublin

Travellers planning a city break in Dublin in December will be able to get into the Christmas spirit by visiting an annual festival in the Docklands area.
Now in its fourth year, the yuletide event starts Friday 12 December and finishes Tuesday 23rd December, 12 noon until 8pm daily.
Celebrating its fifth outing this year, the 12 Days of Christmas festival will be held on George's Dock from December 12th to 23rd.

People visiting Ireland's capital city will be able to head to the festival to browse through a market featuring over 100 stalls selling seasonal gifts,  and stocking fillers.

All sorts of items will be on offer at the market, including craft jewellery, stained-glass giftware, wooden toys and beauty products.
Back by popular demand this year is the beautiful "Galloping Horses" carousel which will delight younger visitors.Carol singers will entertain visitors and live bands will perform on selected days.

Soak up the warmth of the season and treat yourself to deliciously indulgent hot chocolate, beers or traditional German mulled wine. Hungry shoppers will appreciate the deliciously indulgent arrays of continental pastries, minced pies and a selection of food stalls cooking up a variety of tempting treats. Enticing gourmet treats and delicacies like cheeses, cakes and other goodies will be on sale, the perfect present for any foodie.

The festival will take place in a beautifully lit area on George’s Dock, alongside the recently opened award winning chq building, which also houses a selection of top fashion names.    Santa will be around at  the weekends to listen to the little ones Christmas wishes.   Over 1000,000 people visited the event last year and it is expected that the crowds will be even bigger this Xmas

Flights to Dubln are available with BMI BA and Aer Lingus to name a few, and depart from most airports across the country including Manchester.

Manchester and Liverpool airports are regular chosen because of the proximity to the emerald island. Manchester airport parking and Liverpool airport parking are both very cheap at this time of the year and good bargains are to be found.
