New coach service launched at Liverpool airport

Travellers flying to and from Liverpool John Lennon airport (JLA) can now make use of a coach service linking the hub to both Manchester and Liverpool city centres.

The connection is available on an hourly basis throughout the day and night, seven days a week.

As well as operating to Manchester and Liverpool city centres, the coaches stop in the towns of Widnes and Warrington and also call at Manchester airport.

Amenities available to users of the new service include air conditioning, reclining seats and wireless internet access.

Andrew Dutton, head of environment for Peel Airports Group, which owns JLA, said: 'The airport spends a lot of time promoting the use of public transport, but until now many passengers had to travel by car or taxi because public transport services do not operate at times when many need to travel to the airport.

'This new coach service helps to tackle this problem and passengers from throughout the region now have a real alternative.'

Destinations that travellers can reach from Liverpool airport include berlin paris, Rome and New York which are served by KLM, easyJet and other airlines.
