New Destinations from Liverpool Airport

Wizz Air,Central and Eastern Europe’s largest low cost airline  which first started operating from Liverpool in late 2004, has commenced its latest route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The new Liverpool to Prague flights will operate three times per week – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays – departing at 12:50pm.

Wizz Air already operates flights to the Polish cities of Warsaw, Katowice and Gdansk, carrying over 200,000 passengers on their Liverpool services last year and recently celebrated their fifth ‘birthday’ with passengers at JLA. , commented the new Prague service is will benefit both leisure and business markets, linking the Liverpool City Region directly with yet another European capital city. At a time when many airlines across Europe are cutting back on services, Wizz Air clearly recognise the opportunities to grow their business from here

Easyjet has also announced the launch of  two new flights to different resorts in the Canary Islands from Liverpool Airport commencingin November 2009 as part of the winter timetable. Flights to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura  and  will operate three times each week to each destination from early November using easyJet’s Airbus A320 aircraft. New services have also commenced this week from Liverpool  Airport  following the arrival of their ninth aircraft to be based at the Airport.

The new £20m Airbus A320 started operating to three new destinations this week: Dubrovnik on the Adriatic Sea in the south of Croatia, Naples in southern Italy and Bordeaux in south west France. This is the first time scheduled services have operated to each of these three destinations from Liverpool, with the airline now operating 25 services from JLA, giving the region’s passengers access to low cost fares to an even greater choice of destinations.
