Loganair  launches  flights to Cardiff from Aberdeen ,and Birmingham from Dundee

Flybe's franchise carrier will also begin flights to Belfast City Airport and the Isle of Man from Edinburgh and Glasgow, with the schedule remaining in operation until September 5th.

BA Announces Summer Loss         

British Airways has announced  its first ever summer losses as it presented its interim management report for the six months to the end of September. The report revealed an operating loss of £111 million (2008: profit of £140 million) and a pre-tax loss of £292 million.

Bmibaby to reduce fleet

The job losses will include 54 pilot and 82 cabin crew positions at Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff airports, plus an additional 22 management and support positions at head office and airport bases.
