BA report better than expected results Following two years of losses BA managed to produce a profit of £158 million which was well in excess of expectations. Given the six months to 30th September 2010 included the cabin crew strike and the ash cloud disruption these figures augur well for the future.

Ryanair presses European Union to prohibit Air Traffic Controllers right to strike Following another day of strikes by French ATC Ryanair have been forced to cancel over 200 flights and have asked the EU to preclude air traffic controllers throughout the European Union having the right to strike on the same basis as Police and Fireman in this country.

Busiest month for Heathrow on record After nearly 3 years of constant bad news finally some good with BAA reporting that is figures for September were the busiest on record up 7.6 per cent on last year with 6.22 million passengers passing through its 5 terminals.
