Stansted to sell Oyster cards to tourists
Transport for London and Stansted Express have announced a deal that will enable tourists to buy Oyster cards, which can be used on the capital's Underground and bus networks, at Stansted airport
Travellers can now purchase a special Oyster card for visitors when they buy their Stansted Express ticket at the airport terminal or rail station.
Upon arrival at Tottenham Hale or Liverpool Street stations, tourists can change onto the Underground or bus services without having to queue for a ticket.
Each card will be pre-loaded with £10 travel credit, which can be topped up if necessary.
London mayor Boris Johnson said: 'We want to continue to attract visitors to the capital and are conscious of the welcome boost they provide to the economy during the current downturn. This deal will help us do that by making getting about that bit easier.
