O’Leary Says They are all Nuts

The colourful Chief Executive of Ryanair has called the blocking of additional runways by the Coalition Government and the counter proposal by Boris Johnson to build another airport in the Thames Estuary as “absolutely nuts”

If Luton and London City are taken into account the south and London in particular already has 5 airports and to build another one would be a waste of money.

Is what needs to happen urgently is for the additional runways to be built at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted where there is already an infrastructure in place and not some white elephant that will take years to build.

He also warned unless this is done airports such as Madrid and Frankfurt will continue to take business away from the UK

I’m not from England, but isn’t 5 airports a bit overkill already James?

  2. Daniel says:

We definitely don’t need another airport in London. maybe blocking off additional runways is a good idea considering there is going to be considerably less people travelling abroad due to the budget cuts.
